Walt is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, where he was a Rhodes Scholar Candidate and finished in the top 5% of his class.

Upon graduation, Walt was commissioned as an officer in the Army Signal Corps.   He completed Airborne Paratrooper training at Ft. Benning, GA, and served as a battalion communications officer with the 4^th Infantry Division.

Walt has a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas – Dallas. 

In addition to holding a license as a Certified Public Accountant, Walt is also a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Walt currently works with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service as an Internal Auditor
